Our History
Since 1994, Sustaire's ATA has served the Allen and McKinney communities by providing high-quality ATA Songahm Taekwondo instruction for students of all ages. Founded by Chief Masters Mark and Barbara Sustaire, the school was built on a mission to help students improve not only physically, but mentally and emotionally through martial arts training rooted in discipline, respect, leadership, and confidence.
Chief Master Mark Sustaire and Chief Master Barbara Sustaire have dedicated their lives to martial arts and student development. As highly ranked ATA black belts with decades of teaching experience, they founded Sustaire's ATA to empower children, teens, and adults through confidence-building martial arts instruction. Since opening in 1994, they have helped thousands of students develop discipline, leadership, fitness, and real-world self-defense skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
The Legacy Continues
Chief Master Mark Sustaire is a 9th Degree Black Belt and lifelong martial artist committed to helping students reach their full potential. Through ATA Songahm Taekwondo, he emphasizes personal growth, respect, confidence, and perseverance while creating a safe and motivating atmosphere for students of all ages and experience levels.
